Landenberg Bridge

A special emphasis of Landenberg Day 2000 was the endangered Landenberg Bridge. The bridge has long been the focal point of the town.

The bridge is a popular vantage point for viewing the White Clay Creek.

Bridge neighbor Nick Henderson and Landenberg Day master of ceremonies Barclay Hoopes pose on the bridge.

The Historical Commission prepared posters about the National Historic Register bridge. This one showed what is meant by a "Pratt Pin-Connected Pony Truss Bridge".

There were many discussions on Landenberg Day about the fate of the bridge. Shown here are Tom Tillett (of Rep. Pitts office), New Garden Supervisor Chip Smedley, and Peg Jones of the Historical Commission.
